ANTON ARBATOV, MHA, CPCO, FACHE

Anton Arbatov is a proven healthcare executive, former Army Combat Medic, decorated Noncommissioned Officer, and combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Anton is an expert in revenue cycle management and regulatory affairs. He is an innovator, pioneer in virtual health, and vocal proponent for the use of telehealth and technology to improve patient outcomes. He is a regular guest-lecturer at George Mason, Marymount, and Georgetown Universities.  

Anton has served in key executive roles for SOC Telemed, an industry-leading and groundbreaking telemedicine provider, helping them to shape strategy, develop programs, and improve operations. Anton is responsible for many protocols, processes, and innovations still used by the organization today. He has provided consulting services to the executive teams of several successful healthcare and technology start-ups revolutionizing their respective industries, and served on the connected care commercial sector advisory board for the Veterans Health Administration.

Anton holds a Master of Health Administration in Health Systems Management (MHA) degree and a Graduate Certificate in Quality Improvement and Outcomes Management (QIOM) from George Mason University. Anton is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

During his time with the US Army, Anton served in a wide range of clinical and administrative positions, including Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of Emergency Medical Operations at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and Senior Emergency Medical Operations Advisor to the regional government of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Anton is a veteran of over 150 combat-contingency operations, during which he provided medical care to over 100 American Soldiers, NATO allies, and local-nationals. In just over 7 years in the Army, he received 24 military awards and decorations and holds the honor of being the only Sergeant (E-5) and most junior Noncommissioned Officer to ever be inducted into the Walter Reed Chapter of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC).

Jason is an experienced healthcare administrator with more than 22 years in various healthcare delivery settings. Prior to joining PCCMA as their Executive Director, Jason served as the Director of Telehealth for Regional Health Command – Atlantic, U.S. Army Medical Command. In this role he was responsible for the program management, planning, and execution of all telehealth services across 26 states. Jason led many efforts in this position to include developing the DoD’s first telehealth program aimed at reducing ED wait times, establishment of synchronous telehealth support to the 5th Special Forces Group in Syria, and development and management of a new Virtual Behavioral Health Hub capable of supporting beneficiaries across the east coast and Puerto Rico.

Over the course of his 20-year career in the Army, Jason also served in a variety of roles, to include: Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff of Clinical Operations for the Army’s Atlantic Region, Assistant Vice President of Ambulatory Services for the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, Deputy Director for Medical Readiness and Training for the Atlantic Region, Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Virginia, Healthcare Operations Officer for the U.S. Army Surgeon General, Senior Practice Manager, and Scout Platoon Medic.

During his military career Jason has received many accolades, to include the Order of Military Merit, the Legion of Merit, and in 2006 he was selected as the Department of the Army Soldier of the Year. Jason is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and holds a Master of Science in Finance degree from Northeastern University as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from American Military University.
